Our 4G intercom and remote controller have long focused on communication technologies. Traditionally, users could open doors by calling the device and verifying their identity via caller ID, using DTMF tones during a conversation with visitors, or sending SMS commands. While these methods are convenient, they can be affected by local network conditions, limiting remote control reliability.
To address this, we’ve introduced a new approach: integrating our devices with a web server. Using 4G connectivity, the devices connect to the cloud, allowing residents to remotely unlock doors via a web interface—no longer relying solely on traditional telecom methods.
🚀 Powered by MQTT for Reliable Remote Control
We’ve adopted MQTT, a lightweight communication protocol based on the publish/subscribe model. It’s especially suited for environments with low bandwidth, high latency, or unstable connections. With MQTT, users can control devices remotely over the internet, offering a modern alternative to phone calls or SMS-based access.
🌐 Why Web Instead of Native Apps?
We chose to build a web-based platform rather than developing Android or iOS apps for several key reasons:
- 📲 Modern smartphones come with built-in browsers, and adding a web shortcut to the home screen is simple and space-efficient.
- ⚙️ Web development offers high flexibility. New features can be deployed instantly—users just refresh the page, without waiting for app updates.
- 🔔 Our system supports Web Push notifications, so users can receive alerts from the device even when the browser is closed.
- 💸 This approach eliminates the cost and complexity of maintaining separate Android and iOS apps.
Moreover, the web platform is device-agnostic. Any browser-enabled device can be used to operate the system, including:📱 Tablets, 💻 Desktop / Laptop PCs, 🍏 MacBooks, 🐧 Linux-based systems
